I wanted to take a moment to recommend a great paranormal romance novel I reviewed a little while back — Breathless, by Scott Prussing. It has a refreshing new view of vampires and is filled with mystery and intrigue. Believe me, Breathless is a book you will fall in love with and want to read over and over again.

He has a great facebook page as well, with tons of innovative and fun pictures of his book. It’s worth a look.

A while ago I wrote a post about Lifeblood. I got my hands on a rare copy from Werner Lind himself, and I loved the book.

Well when I wrote that post, the book was out of print, and only 1 copy available on Amazon. Now finally, it is back in print, with a new look. The cover has been revamped (pun intended, hehe), and it is available in all of the most popular formats, Amazon Kindle, Barnes and Noble Nook Reader, and even e-book format from Smashwords.

This book is a great read, its quick, and fun, and is worth your time if you love vampire books, and at a low price of $2.99, it will be worth it to add to your collection!

I would like to republish this donation program for anyone wanting to donate any old books. Some libraries need tons of books, so anything you can do would be helpful!

The Robeson Public Library

I just wanted to do a little post to help out a small library. The Robeson County Public Library System is in desperate need of book donations and I thought I would ask my readers to do what they can! Robeson County is the third poorest county in the United States, and they would really appreciate if you all can help them out with filling their shelves with any and all books.

If you have any old books, of any sort, that you don’t want, and wouldn’t mind parting with can you please keep The Robeson County Public Library in your mind.

So I did a post about Breathless a while back (see article here), and I also subscribed to his facebook page, and I am so glad I did. This guy is hilarious and creative. If you haven’t subscribed to him, please do so, its worth it. Why, you ask? Well one reason – his pictures are hilarious. Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

So if you loved Vampire Academy, you are probably one of the hundreds of thousands of people anxiously awaiting for the Bloodlines series to come out. The time is almost here. August 23rd is the release date according to Richelle Mead’s website.

And if you haven’t heard of the Vampire Academy series, then let me fill you in. The Vampire Academy series is an action filled series about two young girls who have to deal with tons of turmoil, drama, and quite a bit of craziness. Rose is a kick ass vampire who is set on protecting Lissa, her best friend and also a royal vampire. To help a little with the back story, you should know that this book contains two different kinds of vampires, Moroi and Stigoi, and in addition, Moroi are seperated into two categories as well, Royals, and dhampires. Dhampires are the protectors of the royal moroi, and the royals are an elite group of vampires that govern all moroi and make and enforce laws – not much different than any other Royals.

Anyway, the story is set around Rose and Lissa, and the books are amazing. I am not going to go into too much detail, because I have already written full reviews on these books (see below).

So, on to Bloodlines… Bloodlines is a spin off to Richelle’s amazing series, and it is told through the point of view of Sydney, who appeared in the last books of the Vampire Academy series. This is especially exciting to me, since Sydney was a really good character and I would have loved to hear more from her, and now I can!

This series also contains many other characters from the VA series, such as Jill, Adrian, and Eddie. Adrian is probably my second favorite character, and one that I am excited to see in this new series.

On Richelle’s website, the description of the book reads

BLOOD DOESN’T LIE. Sydney is an alchemist, one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of human and vampires. They protect vampire secrets – and human lives. I got a great comment on my site from a poster that is trying to help get a new vampire book written. As we all know, getting a book written and published can be extremely hard, but, hopefully, with a little help from you we can help him get this book published!

J.C. Costa is a young writer from Brazil, and is currently working on the new book about vampires. The title is still in the air, but the most likely title will be “The Order of Aset”. And this book isn’t like the lovey, dovey stories that are all coming out right now, this is for those hard core vampire lovers, that love a dark and mean vamp! It tries to answer the question of “Why are vampires human one day, and then monsters the next? What happens to them that makes them turn evil?” In addition it will include tons of the stuff you love, drama, political ploting, magic, sex, the discovery of an animal nature and blood…lots of blood!
